Shirley & Wythall Chess Club

Shirley & Wythall Chess Club meets every Thursday, and for purely social chess, most Mondays.

We have around 28 members and run 4 teams in various Divisions of the Birmingham & District Chess League and Division 2 in the Leamington League.

There is an annual club championship, which is open to all. This is generally organised as a Standard Play all-play-all, or a 6 round Swiss tournament. We also hold a number of rapid-play tournaments throughout the year.

Annual Membership Subscription is currently £40 with discounts for Under-18s, Students and Over-60s. New members and visitors are always welcome.
