Carnival 2010
Carnival Report and Draw Results
The Sun shone for Wythall Carnival. Photos here.
After preparing in the rain on Saturday, we were delighted to wake to a dry day which improved with every hour.
With a display of over 150 Classic Cars, a record entry in the Dog Show and free admission (courtesy of Wythall Parish Council) everyone could enjoy their afternoon supporting many of the local organisations' stalls as well as all the fun of the fair.
The afternoon started with presentations by the Chairman of Wythall Parish Council to the winners of the Best Kept Garden Competition followed by music from the Kings Norton R.B.L. Youth Marching Band.
The Battling Cumberland Giants entertained the crowds with the biggest wrestling bout we have ever seen - and champagne to match.
Congratulations to everyone who had a go at the Tug O' War - with the final between Woodrush RFC and Wythall Soldiers. A great display with Woodrush winning by 2 pulls to 1.
The Draw to raise funds for the Wythall Community Association to replace the aging roof on Park Hall was well supported. Over £1300 worth of tickets were sold.

Photographs of the Carnival are available here.
See you all again next year.
